Stardust - Neil Gaiman Gaiman's beautiful way with words wasn't given justice in the movie adaption of the novel, but the book displays this is full force - a little less polished than his other works, with his trademark mixture of fantasy and real-life, sexual beauty still present. It's rougher, though - where the Sandman series focused on sex, like the protagonist the narrator's wording seems a little rougher around the edges. Less polished, but nonetheless enjoyable. If you enjoy Neil Gaiman or quirky turns on fantasy, this book cannot disappoint - but if you're searching for perfection or child-friendly fantasy, look elsewhere.Either way, Gaiman remains one of the most skilled fiction writers alive today, and his words deserve to be read by any aspiring fiction and fantasy writers.
